I have eaten a lot of donuts and Sidecar donuts are above average. Friendly service and ample samples. I really enjoyed the huckleberry donut. Latte was tasty too. Two or three small tables available outside.

Bad experience..First time coming here . The donuts look delicious online. Ordered this mango doughnut from this location and when we got home and opened the box we realized they gave us overcooked burnt donuts and when we bit into them all we can taste was burnt dough, not airy, not fluffy not golden brown .. The topping was delicious.. but isn't this supposed to be a Bakery? I feel like the donut should be cooked properly if you're a donut place. Maybe it was a bad batch.. but note to the team... If you burn your batch throw it away. Don't sell it to your customers and think some glaze is going to hide it.

Whenever I’m down in the area and I have time, I always try to stop by Sidecar Doughnuts. Their donuts are consistently delicious, and I love that they keep their classic favorites while also doing fun things—new flavors, seasonal specials, and plenty of creative collaborations. My two favorites are definitely the Celebration Cake and the Saigon Cinnamon. You also can’t go wrong with the Huckleberry or the Butter & Salt donut. It’s hard to pick a “best” because the quality is just always there, but those are the ones I find myself craving again and again. The staff is friendly every time, and parking is usually pretty easy. I also really appreciate that you can now order ahead and pick up, which makes it so much easier for me since I live kind of far away in North Orange County. If I think about it ahead of time and I know I’m going to be in the area, I’ll absolutely place an order before I head over. I always look forward to the seasonal donuts and the collabs, and if you’re in the area, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. Their coffee is also delicious, so if you’re a coffee lover, you should definitely check it out too. I also heard they’ve expanded to Santa Monica—so

We live in Idaho and Sidecar is a nut stop whenever we find one! So many great flavors in the adorable shop. We are yet to try a donut we don’t like. We love the classics butter salt donut but also love to dabble with specialty donuts like the French toast! We will definitely continue to enjoy these donuts!

**4.4/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Sidecar Doughnuts Costa Mesa: Creative Donuts in a Posh Strip Mall Setting** Tucked in a sleek Costa Mesa plaza off Newport Blvd, **Sidecar Doughnuts** is the artisanal donut shop that elevates the humble treat to gourmet status 🍩✨. The **location felt like in a posh strip mall**—modern storefronts, upscale neighbors like coffee shops and boutiques, making it feel more like a trendy foodie destination than your average bakery. The **great display** inside is a visual feast: glass cases showcasing rows of beautifully crafted donuts with glossy glazes and artistic toppings that beg for photos. The **creativity for recipes** shines through—think huckleberry cake donuts with tangy lemon curd, or maple bacon bars with real candied pork. Each one tastes thoughtfully balanced, with fresh ingredients like house-made compotes and premium chocolates elevating the experience. Service is friendly and efficient—staff let you sample flavors, box everything neatly, and keep the line moving even during morning rushes. Convenient spot near the 55 freeway, easy for quick grabs on the way to the beach or work. That said, minor deductions keep it from a full 5. **Parking** in the plaz
